The Village Dogs

Notes and photos from a small village and its dogs.

Autumn walks

Leaves and puddles on the lane past the old mill

The mornings are cold again, which suits Biscuit and Pepper perfectly. They wait by the gate long before anyone has found their boots.

We now take the long loop past the old mill and back along the stream. It is about five kilometres, and the two of them cover twice that, running back and forth.

Pepper has learned to wait at the stile. Biscuit has not, and probably never will.
